The chips are then boiled so they are softer and

bleached using elemental chlorine-free bleach. The

softer chips are then dried out and pressed into solid

plates of bamboo. These plates are then combined

into massive rolls, which are then cut down to the

normal roll size.

Bamboo TP manufacturing is very similar to tree-TP

manufacturing. Our manufacturers have an 85%

water reuse rate (the rest is put in a disposal system

that needs to pass national and industry standards)

as well as a 60% recycling rate of waste residue (the

rest is sent to a 3rd party for auditing).

Like most white TP, we do whiten our rolls using

elemental-chlorine free (ECF) technology, and

domestically, ECF bleaching is recognized by the U.S.

Environmental Protection Agency as being the "Best

Available Technology" to bleach paper products.
